Monster Hunter Wilds Has Sold 10 Million Units In A Single Month

The headlines don’t stop coming but we’ll keep reporting about Monster Hunter Wilds enormous success until our keyboards break! Capcom’s latest entry in the Monster Hunter franchise has now crossed 10 million units sold in just a single month. Initially releasing on Feb. 28, the gigantic sales milestone was announced this morning with a Capcom press release, confirming that the launch of Monster Hunter Wilds was one for the history books.

Just for context as to how big this is, Monster Hunter World took around seven months to sell ten million units, only managing to cross the number following its PC launch in August of 2018, after already being on sale since January for the PS4 and Xbox One. This makes it even more shocking that Monster Hunter Wilds was able to sell so many units in such a short time, and serves as an indicator of incredibly impressive growth in global interest for the franchise.

With new free content incoming and a giant player base, there’s never been a better time to be a Monster Hunter fan.

We already knew Monster Hunter Wilds was the biggest launch in the series’ history, with its gargantuan success also contributing to brand new player count records broken for Steam itself. PC is the particular platform of choice for Monster Hunter Wilds players despite some performance issues, and with ten million sales already under their belt, we’re sure Capcom is hard at work to resolve these issues and set the game up for continued sales success.

With some major new content updates planned, including the massive first free Title Update later this week, there’s much more Monster Hunter Wilds coming for fans. We’re sure that we’ll be reporting at least one more major sales milestone article before the year ends! Have you tried out Monster Hunter Wilds and are you surprised by its success?
