New Modern Warfare & Warzone Update Released By Infinity Ward

Infinity Ward has released a new playlist update for Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone across all platforms. For Modern Warfare, the playlist update includes the arrival of Gunfight 3v3 – Blueprint, Bare Bones Moshpit, Hardcore Team Deathmatch, and Kill Confirmed.

In Warzone, Plunder: Blood Money has been removed, with Plunder Quads taking its place. As for general fixes, Infinity Ward has set to work on repairing an exploit in the Shooting Range trial, an issue with explosive rounds on the Rytec AMR in CDL modes, and an error upon opening the weapon armory.

Elsewhere, on the weapon front the FAL will provide increased headshot damage and reduced near damage. The FAL’s maximum damage (of up to 20m) has been nerfed, but does not include changes to body multipliers. The Holger-26 brings increased damage range and ADS speed, while the damage range on the Bruen Mk9 has been reduced. Near damage and ADS speed have both been increased for the M91.

In terms of size, it’s a considerably smaller update than the patch released for Warzone Season 5, which according to COD Tracker, will mark a change in how updates are released.

Yesterday, it was also that announced Infinity Ward would be adding two new patches to remedy a series of in-game bugs affecting Warzone players. The most crucial issue is a weapon graphical corruption issue.

As demonstrated in a small clip from Twitter user Shame1essGames (above), after selecting a weapon from a loadout, the chosen gun rather bizarrely transforms into a mess of unprocessed textures, obscuring his line of fire and half the screen. In short, it’s not long before he’s being shot at with no chance of returning fire.

Infinity Ward’s senior communications manager Ashton Williams made the announcement of “two patches in the works” for Warzone to hopefully address this,
