Resident Evil 4 Remake: How To Complete The Viper Hunter Request

If you played the original Resident Evil 4 back in the day, you might have some PTSD about the first time you slashed open a crate only to find a snake inside ready to jump out and bite you. Vipers are back in Resident Evil 4 Remake, but this Merchant Request gives you an excuse to get some revenge on these sneaky serpents.

While similar in scope to the Pest Control Request, the Viper Hunt is not only more difficult but also more dangerous. These reptiles aren’t afraid to fight back once you find them, so proceed with caution using GameLuster’s guide!

How To Complete The Viper Hunt Request In Resident Evil 4 Remake

What makes the Viper Hunt Request so tricky is that the three vipers you need to kill and sell to complete it can be anywhere. There’s no indicated area you should be looking for them, which makes the idea of tracking down these snakes quite intimidating. That’s where we come in, of course!

The first snake is in the Town Hall hiding in, you guessed it, a crate! Don’t get fooled again (or for the first time) and be ready to stab with your knife right after breaking it to kill it first.

Our second snake is on the cliffs between the Church and Quarry, also in a box inside one of the huts off to the side.

The final snake is slithering around the Fish Farm. Listen closely as you walk up the first dock you come to for the snake and carefully scan the ground to hopefully spot it before it spots you!

If you don’t get these particular snakes, that’s okay. As long as you get three before you finish the game you can complete this Request.

Your reward, besides the sense of satisfaction you may feel, is four Spinel and the Pesetas you earn from selling the snakes. A win-win!

How do you feel about Leon taking on all these pest control Requests? Do you like these little diversions, or are you focusing on just following the main path or perhaps doing some challenges? Let us know in the comments!
