Resident Evil 4 Remake: How To Complete The More Pest Control Request

It made sense why there would be some rats in the fully deserted area you got the first Pest Control Request in Resident Evil 4 Remake… but a little less so when you find the Request’s sequel in the Castle. While it certainly isn’t in pristine condition, one would expect Salazar to keep better care of his abode!

Regardless, rats have infested the castle, and the only one up to the task of removing them – by any means necessary – is special agent Leon S. Kennedy. This task will take all of his skills, so this guide offers a few tips to track down these pesky rodents.

How To Complete The More Pest Control Request In Resident Evil 4 Remake

Resident Evil 4 Remake more pests

You can accept the More Pest Control Request once you get to Chapter 9 and go through the Library. Once again, three rats have made it inside and need to be dealt with. The difference this time is that they’re not all in close proximity to one another like before. In fact, one isn’t even in the same chapter as the others! Here’s where each of these vermin is hiding:

  1. The first rat is attempting to get some grub in the Dining Hall. You will hear it squeaking right by the entrance, and spot it around the entryway.
  2. Our second target is in the Armory, but don’t worry, it isn’t a threat…yet. This is a small but dark area, so check the floor carefully to find it.
  3. Last up, the next rat can’t be removed until Chapter 10 when you get to the Mausoleum as Leon. You can see it as Ashley when you play as her in the hallway, but she’s powerless to stop it. Only once Leon arrives can this menace be eliminated.

Just like the first request, More Pest Control pays out with three more Spinels for your efforts.

What do you think of these Requests? Are they more challenging than finding the Blue Medallions, or do you enjoy stomping out some potentially diseased pests? Perhaps you feel bad for these poor little critters. Let us know what you think in the comment section below!
