The rules of the Shooting Range will always be the same, with the differences being in the weapon (or weapons) you get access to and the formation of the targets. In simple terms, you want to shoot as many pirates as possible without shooting any sailors – shooting a sailor reduces your score. By reaching each challenge’s suggested score threshold, you will be granted silver and gold tokens.

Aside from doing the obvious and just hitting all the right targets, here are some tips that can push your score over the edge:

  1. Don’t reload unless you’re told. You do have infinite ammo, but if you reload while targets are up, you’re going to miss them. Wait for the cue to know it’s safe to reload.
  2. Always prioritize skull targets. Some pirates will appear holding a skull. Shoot the skull to earn bonus tokens. Also be aware that some skulls can be hidden, or even be on the back of targets that rotate.
  3. Don’t be afraid to move around. Sometimes being dead-center of the range isn’t the most advantageous angle, so adjust yourself as needed.
  4. Finally, don’t panic. Stay cool, and know when you need to hold off on firing to control your recoil.

With a little practice, you will master the Shooting Range in no time! Once that’s done, you’ll need to load up your weapons, craft some ammo and healing items, and get back into the action! Let us know which Shooting Range challenge you found most difficult below!
