Rockstar Energy Unveils Cyberpunk 2077 Collaboration

‘Tis the season for energy drink/video game collaborations. Just a few weeks after Monster announced their limited-edition Halo Infinite campaign, fellow brand Rockstar Energy teamed up with another upcoming title, CD Projekt RED’s futuristic open world adventure Cyberpunk 2077.

Following several delays due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Cyberpunk 2077 is currently scheduled to release on November 19, 2020. Like the similarly-delayed Infinite, Cyberpunk’s energy drink collaboration will take place in the months leading up the game’s release.

Limited-edition Cyberpunk-themed cans of Rockstar Energy – featuring characters Jackie, Brigitte, and both male and female versions of protagonist V – will be available at select stores from October 1 through November 31. In addition, a new Cyberpunk-inspired flavor, Samurai Cola, will be sold in the United States only. In the replies to the announcement on Twitter, fans express excitement to try out this new flavor.

Each special can of Rockstar will feature a code which can be redeemed for a $1 Xbox gift card. Each Microsoft account is eligible to earn up to $60 in gift cards. In addition, fans who redeem three codes can unlock all three issues of the exclusive comic Where’s Johnny, starring iconic Cyberpunk character Johnny Silverhand (yep, the one played by Keanu Reeves in the upcoming game).

Finally, each code will enter the player into a drawing for several exclusive prizes. Fans will have a chance to win Cyberpunk-themed headphones, hats, clothing and more, as well as the grand prize of a custom built muscle car inspired by the in-game Quadra Type-66. A multi-part video documentary diving into the construction of this car will be released in the coming months, and will be free to watch.

More information regarding Cyberpunk 2077 will be announced as the game’s release date draws closer. Until then, check out our coverage of everything we know about the game so far!
