Indie game developers share their work progress every week on Twitter with the #ScreenshotSaturday hashtag. In this piece, we take a look at the most interesting and eye-catching screenshots or short videos of indie games shared on Saturday, December 12th, 2020.
Run Prop Run!
We all loved Hide and Seek as children, and @clemgamedev is giving us a hilarious video game version of that! In this short video that the developer shared in this tweet, we got to see the fast paced and fun gameplay of Run Prop Run!, where we get to disguise ourselves as objects and hide from other players. It seems to be a lot of fun, and we can’t wait to play it!
Pixel Puppy
Playing and cuddling with a cute dog is all we need to cheer up, and it’s even more heartwarming in a pixel art game! The developer (@herrwebster) shared this beautiful video in this tweet, and we got to see the early stages of a lovely game. We’re hoping to see more of this project in the future!
Cuddly Cub
If a pixel art puppy wasn’t enough cuteness for your day, then check out this tweet, where the developer (@paranoiax89) shared this work in progress. The environment and lighting looks fantastic, and we hope to see more of their work in the coming weeks!
Pocket Wheels
Accidental scenes and art styles can look surprisingly good in every medium, and the developer behind Pocket Wheel (@PanicTheFirst) showed us how it turns out in video games with this tweet. It’s an interesting look in the game development, and Pocket Wheel seems to be a very fun and unique racing game.
Rolling Alien
Developer @Jakob_Wahlberg shared their lovely project in this tweet, and headbutting and shooting enemies in this game seems like a blast! They say it’s a hobby project, but we are hoping to see more of this fun little game very soon!
