Screenshot Saturday – January 23rd

Indie game developers share their work progress every week on Twitter with the #ScreenshotSaturday hashtag. In this piece, we take a look at the most interesting and eye-catching screenshots or short videos of indie games shared on Saturday, January 23.

GameLuster has a Screenshot Saturday round-up every week. You can check out last week’s list here!

Omno

I had my eyes on Omno for a while, and we got to see a brief footage of this game in this weeks round up. The solo developer (@StudioInkyfox) shared this video in this tweet, and it looks even better than what I had hoped. This Journey-inspired title is very promising, and we will keep an eye out for more updates in the future!

Nimoyd

Nimoyd’s twitter account (@nimoydgame) showcased the different environments and art style of their game in this tweet, and the range of what they have accomplished with their style of pixel art is impressive. Nimoyd seems to be a beautiful game in the making, and we can’t wait to see more!

Unique Atmosphere

The 3d artist @animtree shared one of their projects in this tweet, and its beautiful! The unique art style and minimalistic lighting and color pallet creates a very interesting atmosphere, that we are excited to see how it will turn out in a game.

Astra: Fading Stars

Astra: Fading Stars (@AstraFadingStar) shared this epic boss fight scene in this tweet. The characters look interesting and the creepy faded background point to an exciting and challenging boss fight. We can’t wait to see the promised gameplay footage in the following weeks!

The Many Pieces of Mr.Coo

The Many Pieces of Mr.Coo Gif

We don’t get as many point-and-click adventure games in Screenshot Saturdays as we want, but The Many Pieces of Mr. Coo (@mistercoo_game) has us covered for at least a few more weeks with this awesome gif they shared in this tweet! The game is reminiscent of old school live-action animated films, a unique style that we are excited to experience soon!
