During the developers roundtable for the upcoming 3DS game Codename: S.T.E.A.M there were questions asked to the developers Intelligent Systems in regards to another game. This game is Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem which was announced back in January 2013 and has since had no word on the game and how it is coming along. The idea that this 3DS game is in development seemed to push the idea into peoples minds that the other game had been put on hold, because of this some of the audience asked about the game. The developers have said no to Codename: S.T.E.A.M slowing down development of Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem, Intelligent Systems said, “We’re right on schedule, but if I answer in any more detail I will lose my job so please have mercy on me.”
Another attendee asked prior if Code Name: S.T.E.A.M’s existence is why there isn’t a new Advance Wars. To this, Intelligent Systems said, “We are always thinking about our next iteration of Advanced Wars and Fire Emblem.”
Well this is certainly good news and I do hope that we see knew games in the advance Wars franchise and Fire Emblem on the Wii U in the future they could be really good, but for know we can wait patiently for the future and see what happens.
