After the record-breaking launch of Splatoon 3, we knew a Splatfest wouldn’t be far away. The first post-launch Splatfest has now been announced, and will be running from Friday Sept. 23 to Sunday Sept. 25. This Splatfest asks residents of Splatsville a key question: what would you bring to a deserted island? Gear, grub or fun?
These choices will again be backed by the Deep Cut members, with the likely order being Shiver for Team Gear, Frye for Team Grub, and Big Man for Team Fun. Whilst Shiver is my favorite of the members, I’d still chose Team Gear whoever was representing it. What use is food or fun on a deserted island if you can’t survive on it?
The first Splatfest in the Splatfest World Premiere was Rock vs Paper vs Scissors, with Shiver’s Team Rock having a sweeping victory across all three regions. Frye’s Team Paper took second place for Europe and the Americas, whilst Big Man’s Team Scissors held second place for the Asia-Pacific region. I’m predicting another win for fan favorite Shiver, but maybe I’ll be surprised.
The Nintendo Direct today did once again confirm new Splatoon 3 content coming in future updates, which we will be sure to report when we know more.
