Square considering Theatrhythm style games with other franchises

Since Theatrhythm Final Fantasy came out last year I have thought that the ideas presented would be a perfect fit for other franchises. The idea of playing around with the classic music of these individual franchises and playing to the rhythm is something that is quite interesting, and as it appears I am not the only one who thinks this Theatrhythm producer Ichiro Hazama stated in an interview with German website Planet3DS said that he would like to see the Theatrhythm formula brought into other franchises. We already know that this is going to be the last of the Final Fantasy entries, and Hazama is looking into potential avenues to take the series in for the future. Here is what he had to say:

From my personal view, I really like what we’ve created here – the Threatrhythm series and the type of game. And yes, even though this is the end of Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy, I really don’t want to bring the Theatrhythm series as a whole to an end. Obviously I don’t have anything we can announce at the moment but we really would like to move out and go into other titles. So you can certainly expect something from Theatrhythm like that in the future.

I believe it would be great for the Theatrhythm franchise to expand and in my view there are a few franchises that I think could be a perfect fit. I would love to see Zelda and Pokemon get made in this format as some of the scores in those games could be well translated into this format heres hoping that Hazama sees this or finds other games that could work well that don’t even come to mind.
