It’s the most wonderful time of the year to be a PC gamer, as Steam’s famous Winter Sale begins on Dec. 22. The sale will start at 10 AM PT on the day, and end on Jan. 5 at the same time, so you’ve got a while to claim some big discounts on games as we head into the new year. After all, who doesn’t need more games for their backlog they won’t complete for another few years? I know I do.
The Steam Winter Sale announcement was shared on YouTube with a silly poem, and features a bunch of games that, presumably, will be on sale. These include the likes of Fallout 76, Persona 5 Royal, F1 Manager 2022, Sonic Frontiers and more. The video also confirms that there will be earnable Steam items such as badges and stickers, as is the case with most of Steam’s big sales throughout the year.
Be sure to have your wallets braced, as these sales always seem to be popular with some pretty enticing deals in them. The Steam Winter Sale would be a great first stop to visit if you have a new gaming PC or Steam Deck for Christmas. There’s no word yet on exactly what type of savings we can expect, but I’m prepared for financial ruin either way.
Steam is a hugely popular platform for PC gamers that’s only increasing in size, as it recently broke its concurrent user count record. We’ll definitely be tracking how gamers choose to spend their cash over the season using Steam’s recently introduced real-time charts. If there’s anything major to share, you can be sure we’ll report on it.
