Ubisoft Apologises For Assassin’s Creed Unity Issues, gives free DLC

Ubisoft is giving players the upcoming campaign DLC Dead Kings due to a multitude of glitches and problems that came with the launch of Assassin’s Creed Unity.

Ubisoft also announced that they have ceased sales of the season pass for the game, and are giving a free game to anyone who has already bought the pass. The players will be able to choose between these games: The Crew, Far Cry 4, Watch Dogs, Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, Rayman Legends or Just Dance 2015.

“The launch of Assassin’s Creed Unity was a highly-anticipated moment for me and for our development teams around the world who dedicated a tremendous amount of energy, passion and skill to the game’s creation,” wrote Yannis Mallat, CEO for Ubisoft Montreal and Toronto. “For us, it was the culmination of years of work on new technologies, the development of multiple innovations — including an all-new game engine — and an evolution of the Assassin’s Creed franchise’s core pillars. More importantly, we know that it was a highly-anticipated moment for many of you as well, as you looked forward to taking part in the first truly next generation Assassin’s Creed game.

Every version of Unity had hundreds of glitches, ranging from minor to game breaking. The team over at Ubisoft are currently working on patches for the remaining problems, and are hoping that the patches they release over the next few weeks will fix the remaining bugs.
