*UPDATE* Microsoft Can’t Disable Pirated Games On Windows 10

A story was circulating yesterday about an update of the Microsoft Service Agreement, which made it seem like Microsoft could disable pirated or counterfeit software that is running Windows 10. However, it has recently come to light that this claim was in fact false, and that the agreement only allows Microsoft to disable services provided to you directly by Microsoft, not the Windows 10 Operating system.

This means that the company can block your access to their own services such as Xbox Live and Bing, but it cannot disable or remotely uninstall any third-party software installed on a computer hard drive, or other means of storage.

Do you think this is a good thing?

WinRAR users will sure be pleased to hear that they can still use their software.
