Warzone Player Seemingly Uses Xbox Voice Command To Turn Off Consoles

Warzone 2 content creator has discovered a crafty way to use the game’s proximity chat to their advantage. With credit going to Dexerto for the story, the streamer, going by the name Pork, seemingly managed to instruct another player’s Xbox console to switch off with a simple voice command. For context, Xbox consoles have a voice command feature that turns off the system if a player instructs it.

No doubt you can see where this is going. In a small clip from Pork, the player enters a building and tells the Xbox console to turn off. It’s difficult to say whether the trick paid off or it was coincidental, but on the left-hand side of the screen we can see that another player in the game left the match, suggesting that the system switched off and terminated the player’s game-time prematurely.

Many users on Twitter have conveyed their surprise at the clip, while others have questioned the legitimacy of the trick. One user suggested that if someone were to play “the game through some speakers, or has their TV on a high-ish volume-the console would probably pick it up.” The clip has received skepticism and praise in equal measure. “This might be one of the best clips I have seen in warzone,” says one Twitter user. Another individual described the manoeuvre as “quality,” and we’d have to agree if it’s real.

Post-launch, we’ve seen a wave of freaky glitches and bizarre gameplay in Warzone 2, including boats that can fly and a Superman glitch that turns the average Warzone streamer into a superhero. Despite the glitches, Modern Warfare II has become one of the most played games on Steam following the release of Warzone 2.
