Warzone’s Season 2 Finale Is Confirmed For April 21

The current season of Call Of Duty: Warzone will end in one week. The official Call Of Duty Twitter account confirmed via a cryptic video message that the season would end on April 21 at midday PDT / 3 pm EDT / 8 pm BST. The short clip is captioned with a damning sentence, “the end is near”.

The clip is a TV screen broadcasting a warning message, revealing a pixelated skull and the expiration date and time for Season 2. With exactly a week to go, the doomsday event that will befall the city of Verdansk has yet to be revealed, and the teaser offers no clues.

Despite the developers keeping the finale under wraps, a Warzone player recently discovered an in-game bug of a nuclear missile falling into the city, leading to the theory that a nuclear attack will play a key role in the demise of Verdansk.

In the short clip posted to ModernWarzone’s Twitter, the nuke falls onto Verdansk and simply vanishes into the ground upon impact. Whether this is a preview for what’s to come or a bug is hard to say.

Warzone Season 2 is due to commence on Thursday, April 22, while the map will receive a 1980’s Cold War makeover, a setting more in line with the newest Call of Duty game, Black Ops Cold War

In the lead-up to Season 3’s debut, an exclusive Triple-Double Weekend will begin at 10 am PT Friday, April 16, concluding at 10 am PT, Monday, April 19. An official Call Of Duty blog post further confirms the arrival of Blueprint Gun Game, Stage III of Call Of Duty league, and new Warzone tournaments.

In other Call of Duty news, recent report from ModernWarzone suggested that the next Call Of Duty title (due this year) will be named Call Of Duty WWII: Vanguard.
