PS Plus Games For July 2021 Revealed

It’s the end of the month, and that can only mean one thing – new free game announcements! Sony has now officially announced the PlayStation Plus games for July 2021. These games will be free to download for all PS Plus subscribers until the end of July, when they are replaced in August with whatever Sony delivers next on the service.

The first game subscribers will be treated to is A Plague Tale: Innocence, which will be available only to PS5 owners as their one exclusive monthly game. It seems to be a nice gift from Sony, with the original PS4 game being received well with a Metacritic score of 81%. The PS5 version of the game will be released on July 6 in time for the PS Plus release, optimised for the console with DualSense features, faster load times, and that all-important native 4K resolution at 60FPS. Be sure to add this game to your library free on release with your PS Plus subscription if you’re one of the lucky individuals who owns a PS5. The second game PS Plus subscribers will get their hands on is Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, for PS4 and backwards compatible with PS5. The 2018 entry to the blockbuster franchise was well received, and is sure to be a welcome offering to fans of shooter games who haven’t yet picked up the game. The game includes a campaign, multiplayer modes full of the expected explosive action of the Call of Duty series, as well as the fan-favourite Zombie mode.

WWE 2K Battlegrounds is the final offering to PlayStation Plus subscribers this July, being the second game available to PS4 owners and third for PS5 owners via backwards compatibility. This arcade-style version of the classic WWE formula offers both online and local competitive matches, featuring environments from across the globe to brawl it out with your friends. It also hosts a story mode with unlockable characters that any WWE fan is sure to enjoy.

That’s it for our roundup of PlayStation Plus’ July 2021 offerings. Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown will continue to be available for PS4/PS5 owners through July too, but be sure to not miss out on the June exclusive games if you didn’t claim those already – Star Wars: Squadrons and Operation: Tango.
