Warzone 2.0: AI Enemies Added To Al Mazrah Map

Ahead of the launch of Warzone 2.0, Activision has outlined plans to introduce a “different type of firefight” into the battle-royale, with the introduction of AI combatants, and their arrival will surely add a new dimension of danger to a match. According to a detailed blog post from the studio, the AI enemies will be “ready to defend their patch of land, all integrated into the fabric of the world.”

Engaging the enemy will be the choice of the player. Activision confirms the AI will not actively seek combat – so have no fear. The AI will “have a variety of lethality levels and behaviors and are usually encountered in specific areas of the map. While they may defend their territory like a CDL pro, they won’t seek out combat.” the post reads.

“Conversely, if you’re ready to take on any combatant you see, there are locations with a concentration of enemies dotted around the map where you’re guaranteed to have your combat mettle tested.” the post continues.

This brings us to something new implemented within the world of Al Mazrah – Strongholds. Players are advised to anticipate “locked doors and a high density of AI combatants with a variety of innovative features to their responses depending on your tactics.”

If a player successfully conquers a Stronghold, they’ll be rewarded with “impressive loot, including an item that allows you to purchase one of your customized Gunsmith weapons at The Shop for free.”
