Animal Crossing Switch Console And Amiibo Cards To Be Restocked

It’s a big day for fans of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Not only has it been revealed that the game’s fall update – which includes tons of Halloween-themed goodies – is officially coming on September 30, but Nintendo of America also had quite the unexpected surprise in store for Western fans.

Both the limited edition New Horizons themed Nintendo Switch console and Series 1-4 of the Animal Crossing Amiibo cards, items which sold out shortly after the game’s launch, will be restocked and once again available for sale at certain retailers.

The Switch console, which features a relaxing pastel blue and green design and an image of Tom, Timmy and Tommy Nook visiting a tropical island, will sell for $299.99 USD. Its restock date is not confirmed, but expected to be quite soon. The Amiibo cards, which feature beloved characters from throughout the Animal Crossing franchise, will sell for $5.99 a pack. These cards are typically sold in blind packs of six. They have been confirmed to restock in November.

The Animal Crossing Amiibo cards can be used to invite the villagers pictured on them to move onto your island. If you have been having trouble locating your favorite villagers, these cards might just be the perfect solution for you.

So far, the Switch console and Amiibo cards have been confirmed to return only in North America, with no release in Europe or any other Western regions currently mentioned. GameLuster will keep an eye on the news and update our coverage should this information change soon.

While Nintendo of America have not yet confirmed exactly which retailers will stock the Switch and cards, popular guesses include Target, Best Buy, and Walmart, as all of these have previously stocked Animal Crossing-related goods. Keep an eye on these stores’ websites for possible restock information in the near future.
