Ark: Survival Evolved Coming to the Nintendo Switch

Developer Studio Wildcard has announced that its popular game Ark: Survival Evolved is coming to the Nintendo Switch. This news comes just days after an announcement that Ark will also be available for mobile devices soon.

Details on the port were minimal, but Wildcard has confirmed that it will retain “the complete contents and features of the original game; from the massive and mysterious Ark island, to the more than 100 prehistoric and fantasy inspired creatures.” The release date has been slated for fall 2018.

The game has come a long way since its 2015 launch onto Steam Early Access. Officially releasing in the summer of 2017, many new features, including armor, weapons, and dinosaurs, have continued to engage gamers. With mobile and Switch ports coming, it doesn’t seem like Wildcard is slowing down.

If you don’t want to wait to scour the depths of Ark on the Switch, the game is currently available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Mac, and Linux.
