Activision has confirmed that Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will integrate its content with Warzone from some point in December 2020. The game itself is still slated to release on November 13 while the studio’s president, Rob Kostich, outlined the company’s plans for Black Ops Cold War’s first multiplayer season in its third quarter earnings call.
In the earnings call, this is what Kostich had to say: “All the awesome new Black Ops Cold War weapons and operators you unlock and your level 1 to 255 progression will be usable in Black Ops and in Warzone.”
Kostich added that the studio anticipates “Season 1 for Black Ops Cold War and Warzone to launch this December.”
Once the season goes live, the studio president says it will be a chance for players “to see the impact of Black Ops and Warzone really starting to work together in cool and fun ways. Again, [there are] a lot more details here, which we’re going to reveal in the next week or two.”
If you take a look at the details via Treyarch’s webpage for Black Ops Cold War, you’ll notice lines of information have been redacted in black for Warzone, deeming the section classified.
Season 6 of Modern Warfare and Warzone debuted on September 29, featuring Modern Warfare’s iconic operators Nikolai and Farah, with a subway system to accommodate fast-travel throughout the map, a new Battle Pass system, and if all that’s not enough, a finishing move involving a bat called Edward.
Looking ahead, Black Ops Cold War features not one, but two, zombie modes. There’s Zombie Onslaught, a two-player co-op mode exclusive to both the PS4 and PS5, and a four-player co-op mode inspired by the classic “Nacht der Untoten” map first seen in 2008’s Call of Duty: World at War.
Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is slated for release on November 13, 2020, launching across the PlayStation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, Series X, S, and PC.
