Cheaters Are Already Disrupting The Modern Warfare III Open Beta

In a story as old as time, cheaters are finding ways to infiltrate the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III open beta, with players taking to social media to voice their frustration for this latest development. The open beta is exclusive to any and all players on PlayStation platforms from October 6-10. The exclusivity, it seems, hasn’t prevented some brazen cheaters from dropping into the game and causing grieve for others.

According to the ModernWarzone Twitter (or X) account, cheaters are discovering ways into the game by “using jailbroken and modded” PS4 consoles. A jailbroken console, traditionally, has been tampered with in such a way to remove particular restrictions added by the original manufacturer.

With the open beta only live a matter of days, the community of Call of Duty have reason to be disappointed, as it seems, regardless of what anti-cheat measures are implemented, cheaters will continually find means to disrupt the experience for others.

“Imagine how much of an absolute sh**stain you have to be to cheat in a BETA,” the ModernWarzone account posted a few moments before announcing the news. In the post, footage from the beta reveals a cheater in action. “I’ve told people for years, the issue isn’t PC, the issue is a**holes. Cheaters will cheat, any way they can,” says one Twitter handle

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, a joint effort from lead developer Sledgehammer Games and Infinity Ward, will launch on Friday, November 10, 2023, across the PS5, PS4, Xbox One and Series consoles, and PC.
