Check Out the New Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla Story Trailer

Information regarding Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, the upcoming Viking-themed entry in the popular Assassin’s Creed stealth-action franchise, has been slowly releasing as we get closer and closer to the game’s November 10 release date. Today, developer Ubisoft dropped a brand new trailer, focusing on the game’s story and revealing some exciting new information regarding player character Eivor.

In this trailer, we learn that Eivor, also referred to by the nickname “Wolf-Kissed,” has a brother named Sigurd to which they are extremely devoted. It is Sigurd who encourages Eivor and their longships filled with Viking warriors to leave Norway and travel to England in order to seek out new land and a new place to settle down. The trailer further hints that Eivor’s experiences in England will lead to them being faced with a conflict: the choice between their loyalty to Sigurd and their own ambitions.

Additionally, the story trailer teasingly reveals just a tiny bit of information regarding the enemies who Eivor must face as they fight to conquer England. In addition to the previously revealed Saxon kings, which will include Alfred “the Great” of Wessex, Eivor will also have to face off with “the warmongering sons of Ragnar Lothbrok.” A dark-haired man, theorized to be a member of the Levantine Order of Assassins, is also shown telling Eivor that England has “dark secrets” of which the Viking conqueror is not yet aware.

Each new trailer has revealed only a tiny, teasing bit of information, but fan hype for Valhalla is definitely high. Previously, it was revealed that Eivor could be played as either male or female, and would have the opportunity to romance love interests of all genders throughout the story. Now, with this new revelation of Eivor’s closeness to Sigurd and family loyalty, as well as their mysterious “Wolf-Kissed” title, the Viking raider becomes an even more intriguing character.
