Disney Dreamlight Valley Guide: How to Craft A Yellow, Red And Black Balloon Arch

Life simulator Disney Dreamlight Valley recently introduced the Centennial Star Path, a limited-time series of rewards celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Walt Disney Corporation. The Star Path, which will be available for approximately 40 days and go away for good on March 28, features seven pages of rewards including a classic film camera accessory, a Steamboat Willie-themed bed, celebratory in-game outfits for Mickey and Minnie Mouse, and much, much more.

In order to earn the rewards offered as part of the Centennial Star Path, players must complete a variety of limited-time tasks in order to earn Star Path Tokens. The tasks are centered around celebrating all things classic Disney and include having Daily Discussions with villagers, clearing Night Thorns from the Valley, spending time with Mickey and Minnie, and more. One task in particular has been stymieing Disney Dreamlight Valley players: crafting a Yellow, Red, and Black Balloon Arch. This seemingly innocuous piece of craftable furniture has proved surprisingly difficult because of the sheer number of ingredients needed to make one.

If you’re confused or struggling with this task, look no further! This guide will cover how to craft a Yellow, Red, and Black Balloon Arch in order to complete the Centennial Star Path and earn lots of cool limited-time rewards in Disney Dreamlight Valley!

Ingredients for the Balloon Arch

Arch3

To create a Yellow, Red, and Black Balloon Arch in Disney Dreamlight Valley, the following items are required:

  • 10 Iron Ingots
  • 20 Red Nasturtium
  • 20 Yellow Nasturtium
  • 20 Black Passion Lily

Luckily, most of those ingredients can be found by simply exploring the Valley. However, some of them only spawn in very specific locations. Additionally, the iron ingots require an extra crafting step to be created from raw iron ore, found by mining.

Where to Locate the Balloon Arch Ingredients

An iron ingot is made by combining five iron ore and one coal ore at any Crafting Table in the Valley. Iron ore can be found by breaking rocks in any of the following areas: Forest of Valor, Frosted Heights, Glade of Trust, Sunlit Plateau, Forgotten Lands, and Vitalys Mines. Coal ore can be found by clearing Night Thorns or by mining in any area of the Valley. Hanging out with a villager with the Mining Talent can help you find more iron ore and coal ore while mining.

Additionally, if you have completed Kristoff’s Friendship Quests, fully crafted iron ingots have a random chance to be sold at Kristoff’s Stall each in-game day.

Red Nasturtiums and Yellow Nasturtiums can be harvested in the Forgotten Lands. Only a limited number of flowers spawn at a time, so you may wish to maximize the available flower spawning areas by clearing trees, bushes, and other items from the cluttered Forgotten Lands biome.

Black Passion Lilies can be harvested in the Frosted Heights. Although the Frosted Heights is not as cluttered as the Forgotten Lands, you may wish to use the in-game Furniture menu to clear out boulders, clusters of ice, and other items blocking spots where Passion Lilies can spawn.

Because flowers spawn in limited quantities, it may take you several in-game days to be able to complete this task. You may wish to consider beginning to gather the necessary flowers as soon as possible, even if this task has not yet shown up for you in the Star Path menu. You will need to complete this task if you want to unlock all rewards from the Centennial Star Path.

Craft the Balloon Arch

Arch2
Once you have collected the necessary ingredients, you can visit any Crafting Table in the Valley to craft a Red, Black, and Yellow Balloon Arch. Make sure not to craft the Yellow, Red, and Black Balloon Arch until the Task shows up in your Star Path Duties. If you craft it before the task appears, it will NOT count towards completing the task, and you will have to re-gather the ingredients and craft a second Arch. You should avoid doing this at all costs!

After creating your Balloon Arch, you don’t have to do anything special with it – you can immediately go and claim the task from the Star Path menu and earn your Tokens. However, you probably spent a lot of time on this task, so why not display your Balloon Arch somewhere special in the Valley to commemorate your accomplishment?
