New Expansion Announced for World of Warcraft

Blizzard announced that they will be releasing the Battle for Azeroth expansion for acclaimed World of Warcraft this summer.

The new expansion will feature an RTS-like mode inspired by the game’s strategic past. In addition, new Allied races and a level cap extension to 110 will be available to players.

There will be a pre-purchase option with added benefits for the most dedicated fans. With this, players will be able to unlock four of the six new races before Battle for Azeroth hits shelves.

If you are keeping notes, this will be the seventh expansion for World of Warcraft since its release in 2004. That is nearly fourteen years of success for the gaming giant, nigh unheard of in the video game world.

While actual retail price is unknown for now, pre-purchase cost is $49.99 USD. Also available is a digital deluxe edition, which includes other Blizzard favorites like Hearthstone and Overwatch, for $69.99. Full release has been slated for on or before September 21, 2018.
