New Modes Added To Modern Warfare Update This Week

Infinity Ward will be releasing an update to Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare later this week. The update includes new game modes set to roll out across the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

A notable mode now live within Modern Warfare is Demolition. It’s been seen before across Call Of Duty titles, including Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops. A team’s objective is to plant or disarm a bomb.

In Demolition, a player can respawn, and as a result, bomb-defusing won’t end the match. It also provides players with several chances to complete the task. This mode varies from Search And Destroy, which only gives a player one life. According to Infinity Ward, there are three maps in particular Demolition would be playable on Hackney Yard, Rust, and Shoot House.

Elsewhere, 3v3 Gunfight Knives Only will be playable across all consoles. As the title quite obviously suggests, it’s a mode that swaps out your Kalashnikov for your knife, offering a more brutal, yet equally efficient method at combat.

From a melee to a throw and finishing moves, these are the only ways to complete six rounds. In general, Infinity Ward will be rolling out an overall playlist update. It’ll mean there’ll be changes to Shoot the Ship 24/7 moshpit.

Shoot the Ship now becomes Shoot the Rusty Ship 24/7. Players can partake in close-range combat in Rust, Shipment, and Shoot House, in death-match and objective modes. Further details are expected later in the week.

Recently, according to a Twitter post from Jason Schier, the next Call Of Duty title may be set in Vietnam. A Twitter user asked Jason Schier: “Do you think/know if it’s still going to be part of the Black Ops series then?” Schier replied, “I’m not a COD person, so I don’t know anything about all the lore shenanigans or what it means to be a Black Ops game, but one title I’ve heard thrown around a couple times is just “COD: Vietnam.”
