Top 5 Swords in Octopath Traveler 2
When it comes to swords in Octopath Traveler 2, there are a few that stand out above the rest. Below is a list of the top 5 swords you should consider adding to your collection:
5. Eclipse Edge
The Eclipse Edge is a well-crafted weapon that offers great physical attack power at +352. It also increases dark-based attack potency when used, but this comes with the downside of decreased accuracy of -75. You can obtain this high-quality sword after defeating the boss Captain Kaldena. Players who wish to enhance their offensive and defensive capabilities with a powerful weapon should consider trying out this dark sword.
4. Firestarter
Firestarter is an excellent weapon focusing on elemental attacks. It provides an impressive +195 Physical Attack and a whopping +298 in Elemental Attack, as well as increased potency for fire-based attacks. You can acquire Firestarter from a chest at the Eastern Ku Sands, Hinoeuma. Firestarter is an ideal weapon for users who prefer to wield fire weaponry.
3. Guardian’s Iceblade
The Guardian’s Iceblade is a powerful weapon, providing +230 Physical Attacks and +41 Evasion. This blade is especially useful for enhancing the potency of ice-based attacks. You can acquire this powerful weapon from Orchete’s Chapter 2 at the Sacred Peak Altahe, but only after you’ve defeated the diligent boss Glacis. Defeating the boss may be difficult, but if you emerge victorious, you will receive the Guardian’s Iceblade.
2. Serpent Slayer
The Serpent Slayer is an incredibly powerful physical attack weapon. Characterized by a significant Physical Attack of +420, the weapon’s accuracy and critical are identified as -75 and -150 respectively. Those looking to obtain the Serpent Slayer should travel to Beneath the Wall in Winterlands — you can get it from a chest within the Infernal Castle. The mighty physical attack of this beast will allow you to defeat even the toughest opponents with ease.
1. Battle-Tested Blade
Battle-Tested Blade offers an impressive +400 Physical Attack and +120 Critical, making it a great choice for characters who specialize in physical skills. To acquire this powerful item, head to Tropu’hopu and find the Young Boy NPC. Challenging and beating him will reward you with the weapon; however, there is only a 2% chance that it will drop.
You can also get this weapon by going to Crackridge Harbor and finding an NPC named Bandelam the Reaper. Interacting with him will provide two options: 95,000 Leaves to buy it outright or use Throné’s abilities to steal it. Please note that reaching this area requires the completion of Hikari’s Chapter 5.
