Fans of the entire Resident Evil franchise have a strange love for the character known only as Hunk. This otherwise generic Umbrella soldier first showed up in Resident Evil 2 but never played a major role of any kind in another mainline game since.
If you’re unfamiliar with him, Hunk might look like a disappointing character to unlock in Mercenaries Mode. Before you cast judgment on this faceless soldier, just wait until you actually take control of one of the most powerful characters in the entire series and learn why he’s referred to as Mr. Death!
How To Unlock Hunk In Mercenaries Mode In Resident Evil 4 Remake
Of course Hunk had to come back for Resident Evil 4 Remake when Mercenaries Mode was added, and Capcom didn’t let the fans down. This is the final character you can unlock, and will first require you to unlock Luis and Krauser before him.
If you’ve been following our guides so far, then you can probably guess what you need to do to unlock Hunk. That’s right, get an A rank or higher using Krauser on any stage. So long as you’re good with parrying and using his Mayhem Skills, it shouldn’t prove too difficult to get at least 100,00 points.
Hunk’s loadout might make him look a bit underpowered since he only has the LE 5 for a gun, a Boot Knife, three grenades, and one first aid spray. However, his melee attack is an instant kill where he snaps your target’s neck like a ruthless assassin. For his Mayhem Skill, Hunk goes full-on action movie mode and gets infinite ammo until it runs out. Just hold down the trigger and rack up points!
Hunk may not be as flashy, either in terms of looks or spectacle, as some other characters in Resident Evil 4 Remake, but he can easily be the most deadly and efficient for racking up points.
