Embark on this intriguing adventure by making your way to Winterbloom, where you’ll encounter an NPC called Thoughtful Father. He can be found just outside his residence, situated to the north of the item shop. Engage in conversation with him, and you’ll soon discover that his son is leaving to pursue higher education as a scholar. Wishing to present a parting gift before his son departs, he realizes that he lacks the funds for such an endeavor. He then asks for your creative input in suggesting an alternative gesture of goodwill for his son’s journey.
To complete the quest, you’ll need to get a Silver Quill for the Thoughtful Father. You can find it in Cape Cold at the home of a Retired Scholar located just southwest of the area’s starting point. Go inside and talk to him, and purchase the Silver Quill from him for 1,500 Leaves. He also gives a piece of valuable advice that “the best a person can do is to live an honest life.”
